Watch 11:10 Friday 16th Oct 2015 on Channel 5

When Freya first bought her house, she knew she didn’t like the kitchen - especially the kitchen tiles... So, when her beloved brother Colin offered to help her with a spot of DIY and remove those terrible tiles, she leapt at the chance, but tragically, a change in plan meant they only partly did the work and put the tiles on hold...

Sadly, Colin her brother, died that night in a road traffic accident, and Freya has been stuck with the attempted bodged work for the last 3 years, as well as coming to terms with her loss.

Freya desperately needed help moving forward and getting her kitchen issues resolved.

Dan Lobb and Laura Hamilton came to Freya’s rescue and, with the help of Ed Robinson the designer and Gareth the builder, gave her a kitchen facelift and also offered up plenty of storage ideas - because Freya was in serious need of a de-clutter.

Dan and Laura also enlisted the help of some of Freya’s closest friends, to help Freya get her life and kitchen back on track...

In this update episode, Alison Cork returns to see how Freya is settling in to her new look kitchen and is pleased to find that she still loves it and is making great use of all the clever storage ideas we brought in. She also gives her some design advice on paint colours upstairs, starting with the banisters. But Freya’s life is still very cluttered, especially in the living room. So Alison brings in more local friends to help give her another life laundry in that space...
