With a ceiling in need of immediate repair, a serious damp problem in many of the rooms and a kitchen that has seen better days, builders John Russell and Martin Gonzales have got their work cut out.

Armed with useful tips on plastering and plaster boarding, the team get to work, Laura Hamilton discovers how the lack of family space has been affecting the family whilst John explores the damp issue with a damp proofing expert.

Will there be enough time to create work space so that Tracey and Abigail no longer need to kneel on the floor to bake? As usual, they are up against it and the question is; can they restore chef Ste’s pride in his kitchen?
